Achievements
Halina Klymkiv-Szkodzińska is Warsaw based concert pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. She was born in Lviv, Ukraine, where she graduated from the Music Academy named after M. Lysenko I’m class of Lidii Krykh. She is a laureate of international piano competition „Adilia Alieva Piano Competition” in Gaillard (France). She performs several times on the stage of the Lviv Philharmonic as a soloist, with the accompaniment of an orchestra, as well as in a chamber ensemble. She has made several international concerto appearances and has been invited to many prestigious venues and festivals, such as the European Music Festival in Neerpelt (Belgium), Festival of contemporary music (Kyiv, Ukraine), Intenational L. van Beethoven Piano Competition ( Czech Republic). In her work she combines performing musician activity with teaching activities. Her teaching career in Warsaw started in 2006 at music school as a piano teacher, alongside a role of an accompanist at ballet school. She is particularly interested in F. Chopin and Ukrainian piano music which she explores and presents during her concerts. Her debut CD was issued 2013.
