CONCERT BY CANDLELIGHT HALINA KLYMKIV-SZKODZIŃSKA

In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk Concert Hall, lit solely by candlelight, we will hear works by Fryderyk Chopin performed by extraordinary artists – outstanding musicians of our time.
The concerts take the form of two-part recitals lasting approximately 60 minutes and are based on the concept of salon musical gatherings popular in the 19th century.
During the intermission, we invite you to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the concert begins.
Halina Klymkiv-Szkodzińska is a concert pianist, chamber musician, and accompanist based in Warsaw. She was born in Lviv, Ukraine, where she graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Academy of Music in the class of Lidia Krykh. She is a laureate of the international Adilia Alieva Piano Competition in Gaillard, France.
She has performed numerous times on the stage of the Lviv Philharmonic as a soloist, with orchestra, and in chamber ensembles. She has performed extensively internationally and has been invited to prestigious venues and festivals, including the European Music Festival in Neerpelt (Belgium), the Festival of Contemporary Music in Kyiv (Ukraine), and the International Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Competition (Czech Republic).
In her artistic career, she combines concert performance with teaching. Her teaching career in Warsaw began in 2006, where she worked as a piano teacher at a music school and as an accompanist at a ballet school.
The works of Frédéric Chopin and Ukrainian piano music hold a special place in her repertoire, which she explores and presents in concert. Her debut CD was released in 2013.
