Halina Klymkiv Szkodzińska
Achievements
Halina Klymkiv-Szkodzińska is a concert pianist, chamber musician, and accompanist. She was born in Lviv, where she also graduated from the Lysenko State Academy of Music, studying piano under Lidia Krych, receiving a diploma with distinction. She is a laureate of the International Piano Competition "Adilia Alieva Piano Competition" in Gaillard (France). She has performed several times on the stage of the Lviv Philharmonic, solo, with orchestra, and as part of a chamber ensemble.
She has performed internationally, participating in events such as the European Music Festival in Neerpelt (Belgium), the Festival of Contemporary Music in Kyiv (Ukraine), and the International Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Competition (Czech Republic). In her work, she combines accompanist and teaching activities. Since 2006, she has been working in Warsaw, where she is employed as a piano teacher at a music school and as a ballet accompanist at the R. Turczynowicz Secondary Ballet School.
In her work, she devotes particular attention to the works of F. Chopin and Ukrainian composers, whom she discovers and presents during her concerts. Halina Klymkiv-Szkodzińska's debut album of works by F. Chopin was released in 2013.
