Wojciech Kruczek

Achievements

Master of Arts, graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, specializing in piano performance (2019) and chamber piano music (2021).

Recipient of awards in numerous competitions, including the latest:

First Prize at the XIII Concorso Musicale Citta di Filadelfia; Tropea, Italy (2022)

Grand Prix at the 9th International Music Competition for UNESCO Prize in Palmanova, Italy (2021)

Third Prize at the International Music Competition named after Agustin Aponte in Tenerife, Spain (2020)

He possesses a wide and stylistically diverse repertoire in both solo and chamber music. He is interested in rediscovering the forgotten music of Polish composers and historical performance on period pianos. He dedicated his master's thesis to the builders of pianos from Warsaw.

In December 2021, Wojciech Kruczek represented Poland on behalf of the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute during the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, performing numerous Chopin recitals.

In 2018, at the invitation of the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute, he participated in the premiere and recording of Paweł Mykietyn's work "Paraphrase" for 10 historical pianos at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw.

In 2024, his first solo album was released featuring piano works by the rediscovered Polish composer of the Romantic era, Emanuel Kania. It is the world's first album featuring solo piano works by this composer.

He also has two albums of chamber music in his discography: "Cameral Stories" (2018) in a duo with an accordionist and "Peine et Plaisir" (2021) in a duo with a soprano, featuring unknown songs by Polish female and male composers.
