Sohgo Sawada - Participant of the 2nd stage of the 18th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in 2021.
He was born on November 9, 1998 in Japan. Takes private piano lessons from Shohei Sekimoto, and additionally takes part in master classes, incl. with Joaquin Achucarr, Matti Reakallia, Lilya Zilberstein and Ronan O'Hory. In 2019 he participated in the Piano Academy in Eppan, Italy. He is a laureate of, among others 1st prize at the PTNA Piano Competition in Tokyo. He was also the youngest quarterfinalist at the 2018 Geneva International Pia Competition. He studies medical sciences at the University of Nagoya.
