Achievements
Polish pianist Krzysztof Moskalewicz is an artist of exceptional sensitivity, whose interpretations are marked by natural expression and profound emotional depth.
He has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in prestigious concert halls such as Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Birmingham Town Hall, Palacio de Festivales de Santander, the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw, as well as many other renowned venues across Europe, Japan, and the United States. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Sussex Symphony Orchestra, the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radom Chamber Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School.
The pianist has taken part in numerous international music festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado. He collaborated with Maestro Thomas Adès during the International Musicians Seminar in Prussia Cove. He has also performed at the Harmos International Chamber Music Festival at Casa da Música in Porto, the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander, the Aegean Arts International Festival in Crete, and Bachfest in Leipzig.
Krzysztof has recorded a debut album featuring all of Chopin’s ballades, alongside new compositions entitled Four Postcards by Chinese composer Sun Keting. In addition, he recorded a unique recital on Chopin’s personal Pleyel piano—an instrument on which the composer created some of his final works.
He began studying piano at the age of seven under the guidance of Renata Lasocka and is a laureate of several national piano competitions. In 2011, he graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School in Warsaw, studying with Joanna Kurpiowska. In 2017, he earned a Master’s degree with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he studied under Ronan O’Hora, and was subsequently awarded a Guildhall Artist Fellowship. He also completed postgraduate studies (Professional Diploma) at the Royal Academy of Music, where he trained with Ian Fountain.
Krzysztof is a prizewinner of several prestigious international piano competitions, including the International Brant Piano Competition in Birmingham, the Christopher Duke International Piano Recital Competition in London, and the Ludwik Stefański Piano Competition in Płock.
