Joanna Sochacka, excellent polish pianist from younger generation. Currently based in Vienna and Cracow . So far she performed solo recitals in such countries as Israel, France, Switzerland, Austria, USA, Moldova, Estonia, Italy, Spain, England, Holland, Czech Republic and Germany and played in many renowned concert halls, including Beethoven Haus Chamber Hall in Bonn, Royal Albert Hall in London, Sala cu’Orga in Moldova, National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Philharmonic Halls in Lodz/Kielce/Cracow, Carnegie Hall in New York, National Forum of Music in Wroclaw, Wiener Hall Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Liszt Concert Hall in Raiding.
Soon there will be available her two Debut CDs one with Grażyna Bacewicz Piano Music for DUX label and second with Chopin Preludes for Sheva Collection in the distribution of Naxos US. She has been awarded prizes at more than 20 international and national piano competitions for example XVII International Citta di Padova Competition (I Prize and all special prizes). Furthermore she received multiple grants by scholarship foundations for the most talented musicians, for example Ministry of Culture in Poland Prize (2020), Julian Cochran Foundation (2019/20), Rita Zimmermann Musik Stiftung Bern (2019/20).
Now she is developing her skills with outstanding prof. Milana Chernyavska at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria and completing her PhD at the Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland with prof. Hanna Holeksa. She graduated from Academy of Music in Cracow in prof. Andrzej Pikul class and Haute École de Musique de Geneve, Switzerland with prof. Fabrizio Chiovetta.
The concerts lasts approximately 60 minutes.
