Haruka Matsumoto
Achievements
She has participated in master classes led by independent pianists and teachers such as Eliso Virsaladze, Pascal Devoyon, Mikhail Voskresensky, Kálmán Dráfi, and Takako Takahashi.
Haruka has won numerous national and competitive piano competitions. She won First Prize at the Japan Piano Competition in 2020, First Prize and the Grand Prix at the Danubia Talents International Competition in Hungary in 2024, First Prize and the Grand Prix at the K Competition in Tokyo, the Silver Prize at the International Chopin Competition in Asia in 2017, and Second Prize at the Paderewski in Memoriam International Piano Competition in Poland.
She has performed at venues including Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo, the Radziwiłł Palace, the Japanese Embassy in Poland, and the KAWAI Concert Halls in Osaka, Hiroshima, and Warsaw.
She shares her passion with the younger generation of pianists in Poland. Haruka has the fundamental works of Fryderyk Chopin and Polish piano music, which she explores and uses in her performances.
Haruka Matsumoto performs Fryderyk Chopin's most famous works at the Fryderyk Concert Hall.
The concerts are two-part recitals, each lasting approximately 60 minutes, based on the ideas of salon musical gatherings popular in the 19th century. A glass of sparkling wine will be offered during the concert.
