Achievements

Edwin Szwajkowski is currently furthering his studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Dusseldorf, under Professor Georg Friedrich Schenck. Edwin completed his undergraduate studies with Professor Alicja Paleta-Bugaj at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Edwin, by participating in world-class pianist’s masterclasses, has enhanced his acclaimed artistic abilities. The masterclasses were given by: Mikhail Woskresensky, Tamas Ungar, Janusz Olejniczak, Evgeni Bozhanov, Dina Yoffe, Dang Thai Son, Ewa Pobłocka, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Boris Petrushansky and Michael Levin.

In his career to date Edwin has collected many honours for his playing. In 2019 he was a Finalist of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Hannover and a prize winner at the Piano Competition in Saint Petersburg and the International Chopin Piano Competition in Narva. The President of Lithuania has honoured Edwin for all his artistic achievements.

Edwin has performed throughout the world; in Germany, Russia, Lithuania, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, China, Italy, Estonia, Latvia, France, Sweden and Norway.

As a soloist Edwin has performed with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Tallinn, Narva, Kielce, Vilnius, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Polish Radio Orchestra, Chopin University Symphonic Orchestra, Mozart Chamber Orchestra, as well as at the 69th and 70th Fryderyk Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój.

Edwin Szwajkowski is also an acclaimed interpreter of the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In 2017 he performed Mozart’s Piano Concertos in C Major KV 467 and C Major KV 415. Edwin also performs chamber music by the composer – in 2017 he performed Piano Quintet E Flat Major KV 452 in Konzerthaus Detmold. In 2018 he performed two Double Piano Concertos F major KV 242 and E Flat Major KV 365, acting as conductor for these performances as well.

Edwin has made recordings for both Television LRT and Lithuanian Radio.
