CHOPIN'S BIRTHDAY - Jagoda i Kayo

Achievements

We cordially invite you to the Fryderyk Concert Hall on March 1st, 2023 at 5.30 PM for a concert on the occasion of 213th Anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s Birth.

In addition to Fryderyk Chopin's well-known piano compositions performed by the Japanese pianist Kayo Nishimizu, we will also hear his youthful songs sung by Jagoda Sokołowska - O’Donovan.

Musical events in our Fryderyk Concert Hall take the form of a 19th century musical meeting. The interior is inspired by the 19th century, hence the elegant crystal chandeliers and stylish accessories from the 19th century designers. The Fryderyk Concert Hall is recognized as the most beautiful musical salon in Warsaw.

Kayo Nishimizu is a Japanese national who has lived in Poland since 1987. Starting in 2004 Kayo commenced a series of concerts titled "Complete Works of Fryderyk Chopin". These concerts were performed annually on the anniversaries of Chopin’s birth and death (1st March and 17th October respectively). All of Chopin’s works for solo piano had been performed by Kayo Nishimizu by October 2009. In subsequent performances Kayo has delighted audiences with less well known Chopin works, such as, songs and the composer’s chamber music.

Kayo has also performed with orchestra performing Chopin’s Piano Concertos in F minor and E minor.
