We cordially invite you to a piano recital by Julia Łozowska, candidate for the Polish team in this year’s 18th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw!

Julia Łozowska  was born in 2001 in Warsaw. She graduated with honors from the Secondary Music School of Zenon Brzewski in Warsaw. She is a student of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the piano class of Prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just. Currently, as part of the Erasmus + program, she studies with Prof. Arie Vardi at the Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien in Hanover. She represents Poland in this year’s 18th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

She has won awards at many competitions, incl. 2nd prize at the 4th International Piano Competition in Ville de Gagny (France, 2019), 1st place at the 20th National Piano Competition (Konin, 2018), 1st place at the 12th International Chopin Competition (Narva – Estonia, 2018), 2nd place at the VIII International Chopin Competition (Budapest – Hungary 2018), Grand Prix, 1st place and a special prize for the individuality of the tournament at the 22nd Polish National Piano Tournament H. Czerny-Stefańska (Żagań, 2017), 1st place and award for the best performance of a Chopin piece at the “Chopin’s Laurel” Competition (Wielki Novgorod – Russia, 2017).

Last season, she also had the pleasure to take part in online projects, such as recording for Chopin Concerts in Łazienki Królewskie, recording for “Prelude of the 75th International Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój, Saturday Chopin Recitals in Żelazowa Wola,” Autumn with Chopin ” at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic and “Quarantine in Hi-Fi” at Radio Dla Ciebie.

She is a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (Young Poland, artistic achievements), Prime Minister, Artistic Education Center, Fundacja im. J. Elsner, The Concert Artists’ Promotion Trust, Jütting Foundation and the National Children’s Fund. She also received the Main Prize of the Artistic Scholarship of Franciszek Wybrańczyk of the Sinfonia Varsovia Foundation and a laureate of the mentoring program “I am a Leader” organized by Vital Voices Poland.
